Carolyn's favorite time of the day is between about 10pm and 1am- she is not at all interested in going to sleep- this is the time to be AWAKE! Last night, Brad had the bright idea to just stop fighting this (after all, she's not even 3 weeks old yet and she will probably be more receptive to our attempts to rearrange the timing of these waking episodes a little later on). So last night, we just let her stay awake with minimal stimulation until she finally got sleepy after her next feeding. It was a much quieter evening since she wasn't screaming because she didn't want to go to sleep. I am even now preparing myself for another AWAKE period because she is just about to wake up from her latest beauty sleep. :)


Another of Brad's bright ideas- baby aerobics! He found that jiggling her legs around while she was on her tummy calmed the fussies right down. :) Smart dad! :)
