Here are the long-awaited first images of Small for HER blog! :) Yes, little "Small" turned out to be Carolyn Ann, born at 8:14 pm on Friday, June 30. We brought her home on Sunday and have been living in the half dream world of new parenthood ever since. This is the first chance I've had to post anything (which hardly matters since my mom has been doing a great job of updating www.kathybarton.com anyway- but she says I have to take over with the frequent picture sharing once she goes back home at the end of the week!)

Carolyn had her first bath today and wanted everyone to see how cute she is dressed up in her 4th of July best (I am SO glad she got to wear the darling outfit we bought and kept the receipt for since we weren't sure she'd come on time!)

One of today's big projects has been to work on getting some "awake time" after every meal instead of going straight to sleep and waking up crabby too early for the next meal (not to mention feeling wide awake all night long!) This afternoon, we tried some "tummy time" and Miss Carolyn had quite an audience for her many facial expressions (each one more precious than the one before!) We're in love!
