Happy Easter!!

Although it is certainly true that Easter is about a whole lot more than pretty dresses, eggs, and baskets... we (I) couldn't resist the excuse to dress her up so pretty and give her a little present. :) We also went to church and had a wonderfully refreshing service this morning in which we reflected and rejoiced in the reality of Christ's resurrection and the freedom and life His salvation brings to us. But since people would have looked oddly at us if we'd brought a camera into the church service and you probably wouldn't have wanted to see pictures about it, only these pictures made it to the blog. :)

Here is Carolyn with her very first Easter basket- carefully selected to be just the right size for a baby and filled with homemade Easter egg rattles (sealed eggs shaped like jelly beans and filled with varying amounts of popcorn to shake :)) She enjoyed taking/dumping the eggs out of the basket and I'm hoping that as time goes by she will also enjoy putting things back into the basket; perhaps even traveling through the house with this perfect little basket. :)
The basket itself is also very good for eating. :)
Here you can see Carolyn's Easter dress- isn't it super cute?!!!

And here you can see the back of Carolyn's Easter dress- one of the main reasons I purchased it- it makes her little bootie look too cute!

We also found some bunny ears on sale at the store... they had to be tried on, too. Here you can also see Tooth #3 which came in about a month ago but is only now visible in her smile. Tooth #4 just broke the gums a couple days ago and I'm hoping that its arrival might have been the cause of our recent sleeping woes since she slept great last night and it is to be hoped she will do the same tonight!
This picture has nothing to do with Easter but is just here to show how much more easily she is beginning to pull herself up. I turned around making dinner tonight to see her in an upright position all by herself with no cheering or encouragement from me at all! She just did it on her own. Dog toys are a great incentive. :)

cute, cute, cute. Did you get that dress at Childrens Place? I almost bought one for Emma but went with the blue and white check linen dress. She is so cute. What a great smile.

Don't hold your breath about the joy of putting things back in the basket. There must be some inborn aversion to that, at least in our family tree! Dumping it out, yes! But when it is dumped, we wait for someone to fill it again, or look for something else to dump. Refilling the basket is not nearly as much fun!

She looks so precious in that little dress. Wish we could have been there to see it. Happy Belated Easter.

I can't belive how big she is looking - and the teeth make her seem so much older. I love that our girls are becoming more and more like little girls everyday, but I sure miss that cudly baby stage! And I love her easter dress too :)
