Carolyn started to sit all by herself today! She's been sort of flirting with this skill for awhile now, and today when I sat her down in front of her animals, she actually held herself up for more than a few seconds- she'd lose her balance and then right herself all by herself! I'm so proud!
Her little pal Isaiah was over tonight (with his parents)- Carolyn evidently hasn't learned the meaning of the word "share" because as soon as I lent her bumblebee mirror to Isaiah to play with, Carolyn suddenly wanted it very badly and reached across the playmat to grab at it.
She liked holding on to the arches of her Animals for a little extra support...
Of course, as with all new skills, sitting takes some time to master... but it was really amazing to watch her start to make connections and realize that she really did have the strength to do it- she improved greatly just in the hour or so I was watching her and playing this game with her!

Yeah! Sitting up today, running marathons tomorrow. Growth is so exciting!
