Another milestone! Tonight Carolyn was standing in her favorite kitchen cupboard playing with our napkin rings (she likes to play the "sharing" game- as long as she ends up with the coveted object in the end), when she almost accidentally let go and stood on her own two feet for a few seconds! Fortunately, we were right there with the camera so if you look closely at the picture below, you will see that she is not holding on to anything! Go Carolyn, Go!
Tonight we beat the heat (90 degrees is hot here in Michigan!)- along with what must have been nearly our entire city- and went to the mall to do some quick shopping and to let Carolyn enjoy some time on the neat play structure they have there. She was quite a bit smaller than most of the kids, which made me a little nervous, but overall the others were pretty considerate, and Carolyn had both Mom and Dad following her around with what must have been fairly conspicuous "First Time Parent" badges on. :) She had a great time crawling around and going down the slide (with Mom of course :))

So cute! Looks like you had a blast on the play structure too! :) I like the braids too, they make Carolyn look so much like a little girl, rather than a baby.
