New Years

New Year's Eve Carolyn wore this beautful dress/hat combo- a gift from our beloved pastor's wife Linda Fellars from Phoenix- I especially enjoyed the ruffly hat. :)
All the Barton/Scheffers/Irving connection gathered for a family photo in our (messy) living room. Everyone came to town for the day New Year's Eve to enjoy some family time before we all go our separate ways again after the holidays are over.
Standing lessons with Auntie eM. Carolyn was pulling up on the Exersaucer from sitting in Auntie eM's lap. The picture reminds me of how soon she'll be mobile; cruising around the house. I'm so excited to watch her grow and learn.
Flying with Auntie eM. Carolyn loves all her Aunties. They are so much fun!
New Year's Day we invited ourselves to the big Scheffers get-together to watch the Rose Bowl. Although Michigan had a pretty dismal performance (and no one was smiling while the game was on), I think everyone had a nice time.

It was a bit much for Carolyn, who conked out in "Grandma Terri's" lap. All the many Scheffers seemed to enjoy having a little one around and maybe everyone got a bit of a baby fix so the pressure's off Shelly and Bryan for awhile. No doubt, they would say this is a good thing, since the baby bug in the family isn't likely to be satisfied for awhile (at least not from their end of things. :))
